From our Active Lifestyles for Seniors (ALFS) programmes to sport and recreation to free training courses, the YMCA aims to enable individuals and families to develop physically, mentally and spiritually so that they may enjoy a healthy quality of life.
As the leading provider of after school care (OSCAR) and holiday programmes for school age children in the Western Bay of Plenty, the YMCA Tauranga operates 8 community based OSCAR centres and 4 Holiday Programme centres.
Our vision is to "build strong kids, strong families and strong communities". As a community based not-for-profit organisation the YMCA's purpose is to grow people and strengthen the community.
We strive to be a caring, innovative organisation committed to excellence that acts with integrity. The YMCA Core Values of responsibility, respect, caring and honesty are integral in all that we do.
